Limerick is a county in the Republic of Ireland situated in the mid west part of the island of Ireland. The county forms part of the province of Munster and has a population in excess of 183,000. The main city in the county is Limerick City. Through the city the River Shannon flows and a shallow estuary can be found in nearby Foynes.
Limerick is home to many fine and beautiful villages especially Adare village. The villages offer an engaging insight into the historical architecture of the county and features many interesting panoramic scenic routes and walkways.
